Canadian-born soprano Katie Hinchliffe moved to London six years ago, to further her musical experience. She studied voice at Queen’s University, Canada, and has sung in her native country, as well as the USA and Spain. She has worked as a soloist in symphony concerts and church services, and has done extensive choir work in Canada and the UK, currently singing with the Royal Choral Society and the St. Peter’s Italian Church Coro in London. Katie has starred in various operatic productions, notably as Katisha in The Mikado, and the Old Lady in Candide and Rosalinde in Opera Kensington’s Die Fledermaus. She has most recently developed lectures for the V&A’s Learning Academy Courses on historical musicology and performance, and works at the Royal Opera House on National Programmes with schools across the UK.
